BT-550 Gas Delivery System
The BT-550 is designed for the lab that needs only the gas delivery and temperature control components of a test system. This system will need to be integrated with several other key equipment (as listed below). The BT-550 will measure the ionic conductivity of your pure membrane samples or the performance of your single-cell MEA sample in the following conditions:
- Anode Gas: Hydrogen, with Nitrogen for purging
- Cathode Gas: Air, with Nitrogen for purging
- Gas Flow Rates: 0-1000 sccm
- Temperature: To 120C
- Cell Pressure: 0-40 psig
The following equipment is included with the BT-550:
- Two 1000 sccm mass flow controllers
- Anode Line: One inlet pressure gauge for hydrogen. One inlet pressure gauge for nitrogen.
- Cathode Line: One inlet pressure gauge for nitrogen. One inlet pressure gauge for air.
- One hydrogen flashback arrestor for safety
- Two BekkTech Saturators
- One set 5cm2 fuel cell test hardware
- One BekkTech Conductivity Cell
- Two back pressure regulators
- Heated Gas Lines
- BT-201 Temperature Control System for temperature control of five components
- LabView VIs for communication with Mass Flow Controller and Temperature Controllers.

The following equipment is necessary to perform conductivity and single-cell MEA testing.
This equipment is not included with the BT-550. You will need to supply the following:
- Source of compressed gases (hydrogen, nitrogen, air)
- Potentiostat
- Load Box
- Computer to automate test procedures and data acquisition
- Resources to automate or manually correlate your potentiostat data to your test stand data
