Many potentiostats do not apply a 4-electrode voltage. The Keithley 2400 Sourcemeter applies and measures the appropriate 4-electrode voltage for the 4-Probe Membrane Conductivity Measurement used with the BT-112 and BT-115 Conductivity Cells. The Keithley 2400 Sourcemeter is a relatively inexpensive replacement for your potentiostat for conductivity testing.
The Scanning DC Software is designed to perform voltage sweeps for membrane conductivity testing. Voltage sweep range is adjustable. Voltage-current pairs are collected every 1-2 seconds. Data is fit for resistance, resulting in a continuous plot of conductivity over time.
